James Peterson transforms companies and unlocks potential. His eleven years in Project Management have given him a proven track record of supporting his clients growth and development in difficult climates. From small firms of less than 200 to major corporations of more than 10,000, James has not only excelled at implementing systems on a technical level, but also at managing complex projects & programs while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction and delivering value. Additionally, James is an advocate for the project management profession where he instructs PMP, PMI-ACP, Scaled Agile and ITIL candidates in their exam preparations. To this date he has successfully assisted his students in passing the exam on their first try.
James’ thorough understanding of the human side of Information Technology has provided him with the edge to succeed more than any other aspect of his diverse expertise. By 2008, he was already being lauded by Black Enterprise as a role model for aspiring black technologists. In the same year, he received the Black Data Processing Association's "Most Promising Technologist" award during their 2008 National Convention in Atlanta.
James holds a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management & Entrepreneurship from Columbia College Chicago, and a Master of Business Administration from DeVry University - Keller Graduate School of Management. Mr. Peterson is a certified Project Management Professional, PMI-ACP, Certified SCRUM Professional, SAFe 5.0 Consultant, and Certified Agile Coach in addition to having the ITIL and Lean Six Sigma certificates. He is involved heavily in Toastmasters, Black MBA's and PMI Chicago Metro chapters. In his spare time James loves to travel to new and exciting places, visit art & cultural museums/exhibits and unwind at jazz clubs & concerts.
